Math testing requirements exist for only three Bethel math courses: Precalculus, Calculus 1, and Math for El. Ed. 1. Testing is required to make sure students enroll in the right course and are prepared for these courses. Your academic advisor, instructor, and advisors available at New Student Welcomes, Welcome Week, and registration times can also help you in your course decision.
MAT201M is usually not taken your first semester at Bethel. Complete policies for Math for El. Ed. 1 Pretests.
Math testing is offered during New Student Welcomes, Welcome Week, on the second day of classes, and at registration times. Here is the current schedule. No registration is necessary for the placement exam or pretest.
Objectives and review material are available for each test.
You will be given results on paper as you leave the exam. Your test scores also go into Banner, to your advisor, and to math instructors.
